  • mamaguhl 12 years ago about Wasabi Chicken Pasta Salad
I am a FACS teacher and I teach International Foods to High Schoool students. We "travel" around the US first to experience food that is unique and different in the United States. This week we "traveled" to the West and California. The students made several fusion dishes and this was one of them. They also made chop suey and egg foo young with was developed in San Francisco. The students loved it all and loved this salad because they kept coming back for more. What was left over I took into the teacher's lounge for lunch and they quickly ate it all up and asked for the recipe. This is a winner and I can see me taking this to potlucks around here for that surprise twist. Thanks so much.

I've just started cooking with wasabi, so this is going to be a real treat to try! (BTW, I like the idea of cooking the chicken in a bit of soy sauce for more flavour..) I look forward to trying this!
    Thanks (yet again!) RemittanceGirl:)

I make a similar lentil soup (my husband is a big fan of it!) but I always used ham hocks (or bacon) to meat & flavour -- I bet this is excellent with Chorizo, it would add a 'bit of kick' to it all! And, the red wine would suit it too!! Thanks for posting this, RemittanceGirl :)
