About Me
The RALPH DUNLOP doctrine of the Trinity teaches the unity of beers, mates and food as three elements existing as one higher being.
As a born and bred Western Australian the celebration of good food accompanied with an esky of cold beers to irresponsibly consume mates is in my cultural heritage. Arguably, some may even say it is the meaning of life ~ granted it is what I live for.
The dishes presented on ralphdunlop.com are designed for those with a skill level that any reasonably coordinated person with a good heart and an average work ethic can accomplish.
The food is representative of Australian cuisine’s individuality and unique style attributed to the country’s environment and population. First and foremost that style is built on diversity of produce.
The make-up of the Australian society has been born on successive waves of migration and a fondness for travel. Our enthusiasm to make a mess in the kitchen has spawned a style of food characterised by an eclectic mix of cuisines, freshness, diversity of flavours and textures. The Ralph Dunlop doctrine fuses disparate culinary traditions, including those of Europe and Asia, and incorporates high-quality regional ingredients in a truly local cuisine. We mix the classics with some fresh innovative numbers to give you a range of national cuisines that are fundamental to the manner in which we celebrate life.
From time to time I will invite fellow culinarians, artists, photographers and general punters to share their talents and perspective on what makes the world go around! Read more
