So sorry it took me so long to respond! I don't check this site very often during the summer. For this recipe the powdered coconut milk will not work. What makes it rich, flavorful and pudding texture is the cream of the coconut and even reconstituted - powdered will just not work without thickening with cornstarch or something else to impart a creamy texture.
Thanks for the honest review Cohzaku, but I did not write this recipe or even make it...yet. I cut and pasted this from a blog into GR so I can make it in the future. I provided the link in the recipe. But, I am thankful that your experience went well and I'm sure you will get the dough to the right consistency the next time around. Oh, I didn't take the picture either.
