Yellow Squash Casserole

Recipe by Sista: Yellow Squash Casserole/saved
    Standard squash casserole flavor.
Need more detail on how to prep the veggies (actually, squash is a fruit).
Dish sizing is a problem. A 9x13 yields a very thin layer on the bottom of the casserole dish which is a 3qt dish. I used a 2.5qt oval casserole dish and it only came up half way. A 2qt or less should be sufficient for this dish.
Slice came out in pieces, but I did try to move it while very hot. Maybe a little cooling will bring a slice out in one piece.

This looks really good Points! I have a bunch of frozen sliced yellow squash in the freezer, wonder if that would work okay?

Probably would work just fine although they would be a little more mushy than freshly cut squash because the cell structure explodes when frozen.

Wondering if frozen zucchini would work - I have some I need to use in bread or casserole or something!

I thought maybe that would have some liquid in it from the squash but I see it didn't. It looks like zucchini would work, I think.

Any liquid left from the sauteing should be drained. Mine didn't have any.
