    I've been meaning to make Marie's recipe for her hubby's Rib Rub for awhile now and finally got around to it this past week. I adore smoked paprika and it is the star in this rub. My husband doesn't like sweet with his meat so I just put in about a heaping tsp. of the brown sugar instead of a quarter of a cup. I also added some dehydrated minced onion just because.
    I actually used this rub on steaks that evening which was yummy and it will be even better on ribs. The recipe made about 2 1/4 cups. I was out Christmas shopping yesterday and kept coming across these spice bottle mixtures that were selling for $7.50-$12.50 a bottle! I was feeling pretty smug having just made up a big jar-full of Rick's Rib Rub let me tell you!
