Guinness Glaze

- 1 -12 oz bottle or can Guinness shopping list
- 1-1/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup honey shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients in saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium and simmer until reduced by about half. Sauce will thicken quite a lot as it cools.
- Store in refrigerator.
- To use:
- Brush generously on burgers, steak or meat of your choice just before removing from grill.
- Stir a few tablespoons into a cup of BBQ sauce to liven it up or mix some into mayo or any kind of mustard to create a different sauce.
- Mix some into soft butter to make sweet Guiness butter spread for rolls & bread.
- Use as a glaze on cake or brownies- just brush over top of cake while still warm.
- Warm a spoonful or two and pour onto small plate, cover with a few tablespoons of good olive oil and use as bread dipping sauce-especially good with irish brown bread.
