Brown Rice Saute

- 2 Tbls. olive oil shopping list
- 2 cups cooked brown rice shopping list
- 1 cup frozen petit peas shopping list
- 1 small onion - chopped shopping list
- 2 large cloves garlic - minced shopping list
- 1 tsp. bacon salt shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil in a large non stick skillet over med/high heat. Add onions, garlic and bacon salt. Saute til onions are well browned.
- Then add frozen peas and saute a few minutes til thawed.
- Lower heat to the low setting and add cooked rice. Stir often and taste.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve warm.

what a great way to spruce up boring ol' brown rice! Never heard of bacon salt! Sounds interesting...I'll have to keep a look out for it in the spice aisle!

I loved this. It was super quick and easy. The only difference for me was I had some green onion to use up so I chopped up a couple of bunches of those. I also threw the peas in just about a minute after I added the onion, etc to the oil. I was t...more
