Chocolate Apple Cake

I found this recipe tonight and thought it sounded different... the recipe is from the Luther Ogden Inn 815 Kearney Ave Cape May, NJ 08204
Ingredients
- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup oil shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Stir sugar into apples and let stand 15 minutes. Mix in oil and then eggs. Mix together dry ingredients (no need to sift) and stir into apple mixture. Add chocolate chips and mix. Mixture will be stiff. Spoon into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 45-55 minutes in a 350 oven. Serve warm.
