Easy Homemade Pasta Sauce

- 1 pound lean ground meat (beef, turkey, pork, venison) shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon mixed italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 6oz. can tomato paste shopping list
- 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 cup stock (chicken, beef, vegatable) shopping list
- 1 small can mushrooms, undrained shopping list
- 1/3 cup dry wine shopping list
How to make it
- Brown meat in a large skillet or saucepan
- Drain off any excess fat
- Stir in onion and cook a few minutes
- Stir in garlic
- Add seasoning
- Move meat and veggies to edge of pan and add paste
- Cook paste in center of pan until heated thru, stir meat into paste
- Stir in the rest of the ingredients scraping bottom of pan
- Simmer 30 to 45 minutes.
- Serve with any cooked pasta.
