My Daddys Meatloaf

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (lean or better, not regular) shopping list
- 1 pound package mild pork sausage shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups cracker crumbs (crumbled saltine crackers) shopping list
- 2 large sweet onions, chopped shopping list
- 3-4 stalks celery, chopped shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 6 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 3/4 cup catsup shopping list
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 Tbsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 - 16 ounce cans tomato sauce shopping list
- 6 ounce can tomato paste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine ground beef, sausage, cracker crumbs, onions, and celery.
- Add egg, milk, catsup, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and mix together well.
- Press loosely into a 3 to 4 quart baking dish.
- Bake 1 hour in a preheated 350 degree oven.
- Mix together tomato sauce and tomato paste and spread evenly over top of meat loaf.
- Bake 15 minutes more.
- Serve hot.
- Leftovers are great hot or cold!
