Pasta and Tuna

- 1 lg spaghetti shopping list
- Sun dried tomatoes in oil, julienned shopping list
- extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 2 cans tuna in olive oil shopping list
- 1 Tbsp capers, rinsed shopping list
- 1 celery stalk, diced shopping list
- 1 medium sweet onion, diced shopping list
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, chopped shopping list
- 1 pat of butter shopping list
- Splash of dry white wine shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- Crushed red pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Boil water for pasta and cook to al dente as per package directionss
- Open cans of tuna and press oil into saute pan.
- Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil
- Add chopped celery, chopped onion, sundried tomatoes, capers and garlic.
- Simmer on low for about 20 minutes, adding olive oil if necessary and stirring every few minutes.
- Add 1 pat of butter, white wine and more olive oil so that it will make a nice alio olio for the pasta. Add salt and pepper and /or crushed red pepper to taste.
- Take hot cooked pasta and toss with alio olio sauce, adding a little olive oil if necessary.
- Put pasta on a platter and chunk up the canned tuna over the top.
- Serve.
- Simmer on low heat a few minutes more.
