How to make it

  • Combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl then add oil and eggs.
  • Beat well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
  • Add buttermilk and vanilla then beat well.
  • Stir in prunes and pecans then pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes then cool in pan 10 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and place on serving plate then pour glaze over while both are warm.
  • Mix all glaze ingredients and allow to cool 5 minutes before pouring over cake.

    Oh you don't know how many years I have been looking for this recipe. Wow, thank you so much! Love it, I remember when my friends mother made this and sent it to her overseas in Japan, we had a fit over it, so moist and yummie. Wish I could give you more then just a 5 for this one.
