Double-Chocolate Macadamia Bars

- FOR CRUST: shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened shopping list
- FILLING/TOPPING: shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1 (3.5-ounce) jar of macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 (6-ounce) bar of white chocolate, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips shopping list
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In medium bowl, beat first three ingredients for crust.
- Mix with fork as for pie crust until mixture forms fine crumbs.
- Pat firmly in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes in preheated 350-degree oven until lightly browned.
- Remove carefully from oven.
- Sprinkle nuts, chopped white chocolate, and milk chocolate chips evenly over crust.
- In medium saucepan on medium-low heat, combine the 3/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and heat until bubbly.
- Cook and stir constantly for 1 minute more.
- Pour mixture evenly over chocolate-nut layer.
- Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool in pan.
- Cut into desired size bars and enjoy!
- Very rich!
