My Shepherds Pie

- 3 cups cooked beef or cooked lamb shopping list
- 1 small onion, minced shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups leftover or canned gravy shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup hot milk shopping list
- 1 egg, slightly beaten shopping list
How to make it
- Saute onion in 1 tablespoon butter until soft but not brown.
- Remove from heat and mix next 4 ingredients and 3/4 teaspoon salt.
- Make mashed potatoes with hot cooked potatoes, remaining butter , salt , pepper and hot milk.
- Beat until fluffy.
- Put meat mixture in baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes
- Score potatoes to make a pattern; brush with beaten egg.
- Bake in preheated over 424 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
