Doughnut With Homemade Strawberry Sauce

There is archaeological evidence that doughnut/donut were prepared by prehistoric Native Americans in southwestern USA . Before the ring shape became common, doughnuts were often made as twisted ropes of dough . Ingredients
- 2 C self raising flour , sifted shopping list
- 1/3 plus 3/4 C caster sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tbsp oil and water shopping list
- Sauce : shopping list
- Process 250 g fresh/ thawed strawberries and shopping list
- 1/2 C strawberry jam until smooth shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk the eggs , oil , water and 1/3 C sugar until smooth .
- Stir in the flour and mix well .
- Roll into bals by scooping them in teaspoons and using ur floured hands .
- Deep fry until lightly browned .
- Roll in sugar and serve hot with cream and the strawberry sauce
