Tangy Beef Brisket

- 2 Large onions, sliced shopping list
- 4 Pound beef brisket shopping list
- 2 Packages Lipton Onion Soup Mix shopping list
- 1 Cup beef broth (or water) shopping list
- 1 1/2 Cups Good red wine-Merlot or Burgundy are good shopping list
- 1/2 Cup chili sauce, or catsup in a pinch shopping list
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
How to make it
- Slice onions and place in the bottom of a roasting pan
- Place brisket on top of onions.
- Mix the rest of ingredients and pour over meat.
- Either cover roast well with a roasting pan cover or cover with aluminum foil tightly.
- Roast for 4 hours in a 300 degree oven OR until tender.
- Let stand 15 minutes before slicing meat to serve.
- Serve with pan juices.
