Bobs Clam Hut Clam Chowder

- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced shopping list
- 1 onion, minced shopping list
- 1 celery rib, chopped shopping list
- 5 cups clam juice shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 tbls fresh thyme or 1 tsp. dried shopping list
- 1 tbls butter shopping list
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
- 2 cups minced clams shopping list
- 4 cups heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Put potato, onion, celery, 1 cup clam juice, 1 cup water, thyme, butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in stockpot
- Bring to boil, stirring occasionally
- Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are 1/2 done
- Stir in clams and cook 5 minutes
- Add remaining 4 cups clam juice and cream
- Bring to simmer and cook another 10 minutes
- Do not boil
