Easy Clam Chowder

- 1/2 lb fresh clams or 2 (61/2 oz) cans (minced or chopped) shopping list
- 1 cup onion chopped shopping list
- 2 cups potatoes; peeled and diced shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- dash pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cups half & half shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
How to make it
- Steam clams.
- Cook vegetables in clam juice and enough water to cover them. Cook until tender.
- While the vegetables are cooking, in another pot melt margarine.
- Remove from heat and add flour; stirring constantly. Place on medium-heat and while stirring add half&half and milk. Continue stirring until thick.
- Add sugar, pepper and clams.
- Add the vegetables and juice.
