How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Combine flour, oats, baking powder and salt. Set aside
  • Combine sugar, spices, and wet ingredients
  • Dice up apple and add to flour mix
  • Combine the wet mix with dry mix and stir up barely combined
  • Roll out and pat into circle
  • Cut into eight squares and transfer to baking sheet
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes (until golden brown)
  • Let them sit until and then transfer to cooling rack

    These sound delicious but more like a biscuit cinnamon roll than just a scone.
    I can just taste these now...and with some nuts and raisins to boot!
