Steak Italian Style

- 2 pounds round steak shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oil shopping list
- 1 cup onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth shopping list
- 1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes, diced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon basil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 cup creamed (small curd) cottage cheese shopping list
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated shopping list
- 3 cups hot cooked rice shopping list
How to make it
- Cut steak into 1-inch cubes and saute in oil until brown on all sides. Add onions and cook 3 minutes longer.
- Stir in 1 cup beef broth, tomatoes and seasonings. Heat to boiling, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until steak is tender.
- Blend flour into remaining beef broth and stir into meat mixture. Cook until thickened.
- Stir in cottage cheese. Top with Mozzarella cheese and allow to melt.
- Serve on beds of rice.
