Yes, she is. She is the resident chef. I am the engineer. I make her measure everything she does by hand, or hook and crook. Yes, I do arrange the spices aphabetically.... LOL

Oops.. Kymtbean, you caught me. I goofed. It does take about an hour using the one inch thick chops. Call it an hour per inch. Thinner ones cook faster but the sauce that collects in the baking dish helps to keep them moist

Because I'm rather adept at over-cooking pork chops, please clarify the cooking time. The top summary states 30 minutes, but the recipe calls for 1 hour. Thanks!

Always in need of new ways for pork chops. This one looks so easy too!

I am new to this site but I must ask you to be my friend because we like the same kind of comfort food. Our compatibility rating should be higher than Medium...I don't understand that part.

I make them this way too! I use a little more barbecue sauce than you, but the onions and lemon really make this dish. I use the brown sugar too.

Questions, questions, questions... LOL. Actually I make our barbeque sauce. The recipe is on this site somewhere but it's a personal choice. If I had to buy it I'd use Bullseye. But again that is one of those personal taste thingies.

Generally we do the pork chops with scalloped potatoes and green beans with corn. This is an inside, winter, no grill recipe so we tend to do all of it in the oven.

Sweet onions are yellow onions, Vidalia if you can find them. Mellow with as little bite as possible.

Again, these are just personal preferences, do what feels good for you.

PS.. if you don't have BBQ sauce available ketchup will substitute.

Hi Dugger, this looks yummy, I hope they are moist; lately any chops I have made have been tough even though I've slow cooked them. I've bookmarked this recipe and will try it after my next trip to the grocery store.

    I have a few questions.

QUESTION #1: What barbecue sauce do you use?
QUESTION #2: What do you serve this with?
QUESTION #3: What are sweet onions? The white ones?

Well Dixie, it is one of those easy to fix, looks like you spent days gourmet, can't believe it, recipes. Too easy to be good but it is anyway.

I can't believe someone else has had these chops. My stepmomma Joyce made these all the time and we loved them as kids. There is just something to be said about the lemon and onion bbq sauce combination as it roasts. These are awesome, thanks so much for the post. What a memory maker and I can't wait to make these again and introduce them to the next generation!
