We woke up this morning to a few inches of snow and no school. I admit that snow is pretty just after it has fallen, but that doesn't mean I like it.

This past Sunday, our twins hockey team was invited to a Connecticut Whale hockey game to stand on the ice with the players during the national anthem and play a quick game during the intermission. It was great seeing them out there with the big guys!

Wordless Wednesday: My Christmas Wishlist

I've already put together my list of what I want for Christmas this year and it consists of just one thing: the iPhone 5. My contract is up in December so I am due for an upgrade from my iPhone 4 just in time for the holiday.

Wordless Wednesday: My First Pepper!

It took 2 months but I finally got my first pepper out of my pepper plant! Isn't it beautiful? Luckily, I see a few more starting. hopefully they can grow before the colder weather sets in.

Every Friday we get pizza for dinner, my break from cooking. After dinner, we pop some popcorn and lay blankets on the floor for the boys so we can watch a movie together. I have been trying to make the best of Netflix Streaming, so this past week we watched Jumanji. Not something we will watch again.

Wordless Wednesday: Ginormous Zucchini

This is my first summer growing anything other than tomatoes in my garden. Last Friday, after several days of neglecting my vegetable plants, I went out to check on them. And frankly I was shocked at the huge zucchini I found there.

I have gotten oversized zucchini from our CSA before, but nothing like this. For comparison, here it is next to my size 8 sandals.

On Saturday we cut it up, put some olive oil and garlic salt on it and threw it on the grill. It was delicious. Looking forward to many more!
