"4 Million on Gold Chains 10 Million on Bottles"

Here's another one that admittedly slipped through the GWDJ cracks. Given the novelty of Steve Aoki, Ma$e, and Big Gigantic getting together on a track together, I have no idea how I missed it. Generally Steve's brand of EDM is hit or miss with my tastes, but this one kicks a whole lot of a$$. That sax breakdown post-drop from Big Gigantic alone is worth the price of admission. Beyond that, it was dope hearing some vintage M-A-$-E on the mic. His buttery smooth delivery hasn't changed a bit over the years and it's kind of crazy how well it works when layered on top of the craziness that Steve Aoki put together on $4,000,000. Chances are you've already seen this ebb and flow out of your playlists, but in case you're like me and missed it, don't let this one slip by any longer...#4000000

Ma$e and Timbo Make Me Miss Hip Hop

Every now and again, there's a Hip Hop track that takes me back to the days of the Millenium when great Hip Hop used to grow on trees. You had countless great producers making even the most average rapper a superstar. One of them who made a living off of it was Timbaland who has about as distinct of a sound in music. At least once a year I find myself wondering what would have happened if he and Aaliyah would have continued making great music together.

While the new song by up and comer Jo'zzy isn't exactly a substitute for anything Aaliyah did, the sheer fact that Ma$e and Timbaland got on a track together drummed up the Hip Hop nostalgia all over again. If you're wanting just the dessert portion, feel free to fast forward to the 1:45 mark where Ma$e drops a memorable verse. It's not a hall of fame effort, but there's clearly something still there talent wise. I really hope he continues his way back into the limelight and a couple hall of fame producers come out of the woodwork to support him in his conquest. Even if he doesn't fully make it back, I can't complain, I'm satisfied with the small slice of the past below...#TrynaWife

"Come To Find Out I'm 'Ye Favorite"

Ah man, what a great flash back to an era of Hip Hop that was so fresh. Call me nostalgic, but Ma$e's Harlem World album was probably one of my ten favorite albums of the 1990s. I'm going to continue to ignore his Double Up and Welcome Back albums because they were nowhere near the quality of his debut effort. So, in my eyes, it's been over a decade since I heard something I was excited about from Mason Betha.

Now, after a quick stint as a pastor and the ending of his 16 year stint with Bad Boy, all signs point toward a comeback. I have no idea what record label he'll sign with (despite rumors he would only sign with OVO or G.O.O.D.), but the good news is we have a new single. Even better that Why Can't We has the same snazzy, R&B/pop sound that was found on his debut. Now, the track is not going to win any awards, but I'm her to tell you that it's at the very least got me excited and wanting more. It'll be icing on the cake if Drake accepts him in the crew, look out for Now We Even sometime in 2014...#Mase

We have a Ma$e sighting...

Just when you thought he had left us forever to preach the Lord's words, Mr. Harlem world is back...

And now he's reuniting with Cam'ron for a comeback single? Now sure if I'm a fan of that choice, but they go way back to their Harlem days and I'm glad they squashed the beef to make what amounts to one HELL of a comeback single.

Ron Brownz don't get it twisted, I am still not a big fan of yours either, but my hat is off to you with this ridiculous beat you blessed Ma$e and Cam with.

Check it out y'all...
