"I've Got Heaven, Right Here on Earth"

In the world of House music, it's usually all about the DJ and rarely about the vocalist being featured on the track. Chris Malinchak is the noteworthy exception to that statement. Smooth isn't a strong enough description for his vocals, it's more like pillow-soft mixed with grown and sexy. His new one, Wonderful, utilizes a smooth piano and percussion instrumental that he's able to layer on soulful vocals on top on. Yes, it may not be the most exciting track, but it's the type of easy-listening music I want permeating through my earbuds after a long day. Admit it, you were singing the hook after the first listen weren't you? I know I was and it was...#Wonderful

"When I'm in Pain You're a Vision of Beautiful"

This Chris Malinchak guy is starting to grow on me. My first impression of him was more of throwback, pop/disco vocalist that reminded me a bit of MJ with his soft vocals. His new single, Happiness, featuring the deep house magic of MNEK completely changed my impression of his style. The smooth percussion over a heavy, rolling bassline produces an ethereal vibe that equal parts soothing and addictive. The stop and go beat provides plenty of room for Chris to showcase a soulful harmony throughout. To put it in concrete terms, Chris's upcoming show at the Rickshaw Stop just because a must-see event for me in two weeks...#Happiness

"Let Me Be Your Stranger"

I'm having a hard time coming to terms with liking Chris Malinchak's new single with Mikky Ekko, Stranger. It's undeniably funky, but almost to the point of being over done. Sound wise the MJ comparisons will come, but it's a song that stands out because it has such a throwback sound. While you'd expect flashy disco lights and big hair on the video, you're not going to get it. For the record, the video does a great job of contextualizing the song and brings it to life in a unique way...

Man, listening to this track can be addicting. My guess is you're either really going to like it or you're going to give an emphatic "WTF is this?" Either way, it will elicit a strong reaction and that's what I'm here for ladies and gentleman, to make you feel something...#Stranger
