Nest Aware stopped working

So I’ve had Nest cameras for years and originally had clips stored for free. Then I had to pay for Nest Aware to store video clips. Now Nest Aware stopped working and all I get is a message that says Nest Aware is not available in some areas? I have invested a lot of money into Nest cameras as I have multiple indoor and outdoor cameras and all I get now on my event history is a still image listing the trigger type (sound/movement) and the time/duration of the event but no ability to play the video. 

I want a camera system capable of providing these clips. Has this been blocked in my area? I live in Naperville IL. Is there any way around this issue besides buying all new cameras on another platform?

If you live in Illinois you don't have access to Familiar Face Detection because Illinois prohibits it, but I don't know why you'd get a message saying Nest Aware is not available in some areas.

Did your Nest Aware subscription expire? You can check on the Subscription Management page here : https://store.google.com/subscriptions.

You could also try the "Contact us" link under "Nest Aware Premier Care" on the page below to "Get 24/7 access to Nest Aware Experts on the Nest Customer Care team. They’re available to answer questions, help you access features, and manage your subscription."
