I was incorrectly charged for a late fee and when I tried appealing at the time they told me they couldn't do anything. I came back to the middle east to use the application and they're still doing the same thing even though the issue was from the drivers side and not mine. They didn't help and they sent me the same automated message in their supposed "live chat". Terrible customer support and never using this application again

Not reliable. First time I used this app, I was about to go from DMCC to Al Qouz. I booked Hala Taxi by cash and I went to the pick up point on time. I tried calling him on his registered number numerous times but no answer. Luckily, he went to take another passenger without confirming my identity and I don't have data outside our bldg premises. I ended up walking 30 minutes just to get on the wifi area and from there, I booked another ride.

Not the worse the app, and I've had some great captains, although the mischievous minority tend to ruin the reputation of others. I'd recommend to never trust the drivers if they ask for a request and if any issues arise, you only have a 7 day grace period afterwhich you're not the company's problem. I'd recommend having an alternative to careem in case you use the app almost daily, although if you use it infrequently, Careem will do fine just never trust the drivers to not get burned.
