Bulletstorm Guide

Bonus Task » Pointless

Accumulate 10 headshots before encountering the first Confederate dropkit. You may start on this task in level 0-0 (once on the planet) or in level 1-1. You may continue here, but if you don't get your headshots by now, you may not have many chances, as you only have two groups of enemies here.

To quickly kill all enemies, kick the explosives at both instances, and the resulting blast will be greatly satisfying.

The dropkit here is to train you in skillshots. You need 1200 skillpoints to open the gate (rather weird, but OK). Unless you want to be totally dead, start increasing the ammunition capacity of the PMC / Carbine so you can hold the needed ammunition for later fights.

Examine your skillshots list and you can start trying to connect with them. Remember that the harder shots in the game are written with a bit more detail in our guide (pages 8 to 18).

Battle through the short stretch of sand to the refinery facility. Use the explosives on the pallets to kill enemies. Dropkits tend to be very close-by when and where you need them, so when you find one, use it. When you need to refill on something, you can always try and go back to a previous dropkit before moving on.

Clear out the insides of the refinery, and notice the large box of ammo in the back of the facility. Where possible, IGN will display these pick-ups, so you can use them to refill your ammunition instead of using skillpoints to replenish your ammo.

Head across the top of the facility and get the tutorial on Quick Time Events. IGN will call these out when possible, but it's strictly a memory thing here. If you get the whole duration, you get 500 SP. Usually, you earn less. Take down the remaining enemies near the exit lift, open the gate and head down to end the level.
