At some point yesterday a new video hit YouTube purporting to show multiplayer in Bungie's Halo: Reach. There's no way of confirming at this time if the video footage -- which shows some pretty awesome fragging -- is legitimate. A watermark in the bottom-right corner of the movie suggests that the version of the game is still in alpha testing, but it does show off some pretty impressive red versus blue jetpack jumping, hand-to-hand combat and gun-play.

It would be difficult to fake this kind of footage, so we're expecting to hear that this is indeed a little taste of things to come from Halo: Reach's online experience.

Bryn says: This looks very cool. The jetpacks are sure to add a massive new dimension to the traditional Halo multiplayer jiggery-pokery. And there are probably more than a few Halo fans out there who've been waiting to see this in action. Let's keep hoping that this is legit footage, 'coz if is, I'll be one of the first in line at the store when this goes live.
