Those of you anxious to find out if those leaked Halo: Reach screenshots were real or not, you won't have to wait much longer. Kotaku is reporting that the host of GameTrailers TV, Geoff Keighley, has announced on his Twitter that Halo: Reach's worldwide premiere will take place at the Spike Videogame Awards.

Voting for the Spike VGAs has opened, and you'll be able to vote for your favorite games in 28 different categories. The actual broadcast starts on December 12th at 8 p.m.

Tyler says: If those blurry screenshots of Halo: Reach turn out to be fakes I'm going to be a little saddened. Though I think ODST has the best Halo campaign since the first game, I still feel that the series is getting stale. Here's hoping Bungie is looking to try something new with Reach.

As far as the VGAs go, while many in the enthusiast press scoff at end-of-year awards, I love going back through the gaming year in my mind. So, you can bet I cast my votes. One game that's glaringly absent from the entire list: Red Faction: Guerrilla.
