A new video seen on YouTube confirms that Visceral Games is planning to enable user-generated content for its upcoming action game Dante's Inferno, via an add-on. Eurogamer confirms that players will be able to make and share their own trials. The DLC will also contain a new playable character, St. Lucia.
User created content means making trials for your fellow players. You'll be able to select arenas, monsters and modes and stuff them into a challenging romp that can be downloaded by all from a central server.

They then rate the experience, placing you somewhere on a leaderboard. Scaling that, and collecting silver to spend on new toys to populate trials with, will provide a meta-game.
The Trials of St. Lucia DLC is set to launch on April 29th.

That looks painful.

Bryn says: This is a definite one-up over God of War III in my humble opinion. User-generated content generally spawns some imaginative additional gameplay, and while it's likely we'll have to pay for it, it'll hopefully bring a more dedicated set of players to the game. I'm looking forward to Dante's Inferno quite a bit, and this news just made me even more so.
