Common Questions & Answers

I never played Crysis 1. Will I understand the story?
Flashbacks of the previous game will occur and fill you in on the story of the first game (and parts of the expansion pack, Warhead). For the most part, Crysis 2 is stand-alone as it moves the story forward with Prophet.
How come I can't use stealth or armor in the beginning?
The second stage, Second Chance, slowly activates all your suit's powers as part of the tutorial. Even if you have the modules and know exactly what is going on, playing the game again will subject you to the tutorials in the mission, Second Chance.
Do I keep my modules and attachments when I replay a mission?
Alcatraz keeps his purchased armor modules, weapon attachments, and nano-catalyst total when he replays a mission. The auto-save only saves your last weapon configuration and the last checkpoint you activated.

You may replay any mission at any time with the attachments and modules you have. Weapons are plentiful that finding the one you want won't be an issue (unless it's the JAW or C4).
What are the first modules to buy in campaign?
Nano-Recharge (8000) and Stealth Enhance (10,000) are probably the best since it lets you cloak and run past the whole game (pretty much what you do on the hardest difficulty levels).

Initially though, you may want to buy the Armor Enhance (100) and perhaps Mobility Enhance (600) to let you survive your first alien encounters. Since you need to kill the aliens to get the credits for the expensive modules, this may be the way to go.
What are the best weapons to keep?
Apart from the JAW and C4 (works well with cloak), any rapid firing weapon will do. As you go from sneaking to fighting (like at the end of Semper Fi or Die), you may want to use the M-60 or Heavy Machinegun (the M2). The downside is that the M2 cannot be reloaded, and impedes your motions while the M-60 is far weaker than the HMG.
