Collectibles are listed in each stage in the order you get them (not grouped by type). While it would make sense to group collectibles by type, only fools enjoy wasting time watching a loading screen.

In the room where you meet Colonel Barclay and Dr. Gould, look for the item between two marines who are managing some computer systems. Once you regain control over your body, turn left and check out that area.

Follow Colonel Barclay into the planning room and look for the item on the table with the soldiers pouring over a map. You may want to take the item before the command center is rocked by the power outage.
