Collectibles are listed in each stage in the order you get them (not grouped by type). While it would make sense to group collectibles by type, only fools enjoy wasting time watching a loading screen.

After progressing past the CELL soldier and the aliens after you start the mission, you will be on a subway platform patrolled by aliens. Under Tactical Point 2 (Ledge Grab), there is a door to a maintenance area. The item you want is in there.

Alternately, you can locate Tactical Point 1 (Explore) which leads to an M-60 LMG. From the doorway that marks the tac-point, look across the tracks and you can see the door leading to the same area with the item.

When Hargreave contacts you about his dead CELL squad and finding new detection gear, turn around 180° and check the room with the grenade bin for this item.

After you find Hargreaves' missing CELL squad, you drop into a subway tunnel with Ceph harvesters (the little tick robots). This tunnel has an item on the red work scaffolding, next to the sniper rifle and its former owner.

In the area past the subway, grab and throw an alien down into the sink hole of the level to satisfy this condition.
