As nearly everyone and their grandmothers know, the Wii is still the hottest thing in the gaming world, despite the fact that Nintendo's little white console has been out for nearly two years. Thanks to the rise of casual or mainstream gaming (or whatever you like to call it), the system has made its way into living rooms, dorm rooms, and nursing homes all over the world. The only drawback to this explosion in popularity is the fact that developers and publishers are rushing to put games out for the system, occasionally at the expense of quality. With so many Wii titles hitting the market, GameSpy decided to separate the wheat from the chaff to give you a better idea of which games you should be getting excited about.

Castlevania Judgment

One of the biggest franchises in gaming is about to mix things up this year exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. Castlevania Judgment is the first spin-off from the series to invite players into a one-on-one 3D fighting arena ala Soulcalibur or Tekken. Sporting some of the coolest characters from the steeped history of Castlevania, you'll be able to throw down as Alucard, Dracula, Maria, Death and Shanoa who is featured as the heroine in the new Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia on the Nintendo DS.

Each character has their own style of scrapping along with signature moves and devastating super final moves. The developer has tapped into some of the coolest settings from the series providing gorgeous locales to pitch the intense combat. Making good use of the unique Wii controllers, Judgment will hopefully put a different spin on the 3D fighting genre.

Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip

The Flying Tomato makes a return to gaming (if you count 2002's Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarding as a debut) with this board-balancing Wii title. Sure, there are versions coming to 360 and PS3, but neither have the physical element that gives the Wii game its appeal. Ubisoft has been hard at work on configuring the Balance Board to function with this game, and from what we've seen, the Montreal-based team could be on to something big.

It's got much more of a cartoonish and SSX-inspired aesthetic than its HD cousins, so expect some arcade-style fun as you stand on the balls of your feet. If you don't have a board, though, there are still plenty of ways for you and your friends to compete on the slopes.

Sam & Max: Season One

Telltale Games and Steve Purcell have a good thing going in Sam & Max. The comics creator has partnered with Telltale in bringing the interactive adventures of the world's (not-so) greatest private investigators ("freelance police") to gamers. Point-and-click adventures are a natural fit for the Wii, so it's easy to see why Telltale is bringing the series to Nintendo's revolutionary platform.

This episodic series of adventure games take on pop culture with hilarious wit, with episodes tackling former child actors, TV talk shows, organized crime, politics, and even the Internet. If you didn't experience episodes like "Abe Lincoln Must Die!" and "Reality 2.0" the first time around, here's your chance.
