Media Molecule's PlayStation 3 hit from 2008, LittleBigPlanet, may well have a sequel in the works. It's not too difficult to imagine that this is indeed the case, however, a tweet from Stephen Fry may well have outed a sequel ahead of time. Fry's excellent voiceover work in LittleBigPlanet added to the charm of the game, and in a recent Twitter update, the funnyman may have let something slip:
In studio today voicing 2nd edition of a video game. Will check when I'm there if I'm allowed to say what it is...
To the best of our knowledge, the star of the BBC's "QI" series has only ever performed voiceover work for one other game, which as vg247 notes, is Lionhead's Fable II.

LittleBigPlanet 2 remains purely rumor at the moment, but as with so many other big expected announcements, it's safe to assume that if Media Molecule has something to say, it'll be said a few weeks from now at E3 2009.

srsly what else could it be?

Update, 11:00 a.m. PST: As noted by GameSpy commenter C4rr0t, Stephen Fry has updated his Twitter with the following:
I've come to the end of a lush voice-athon and yes, am empowered to confess that it was for a new PSP version of Little Big Planet.
So we can consider that mystery solved.

Bryn says: Speaking of LittleBigPlanet... I saw numerous bargain-hunting posts over the past few days about how the price of the game here in the UK has dropped to an all-time low of around 11 GBP; that's about $14-15 right now. Insane. Given that I've lost my NTSC copy, I'm prepping to order a PAL one any day now.

Or should I just wait for a sequel?
