It's the details like this that will have fanboys everywhere drooling over the game. As an added bonus to comic fans, there are a host of unlockable costumes and even some secret unlockable characters. The costumes aren't simple skin changes either, but rather completely redesigned models. As far as the secret characters go, Green Arrow is the only one officially announced, but it has been confirmed that there are going to be many more found in the game.

Each stage pits two members of the League against Brainiac's forces. At the start of the game, the heroes used in each mission are predetermined. As the game progresses though, players will be able to choose which two characters they want to take, making for some unique and powerful combinations. In single player games, the player swaps between the two characters with the d-Pad.

A second player can hop in at any time, though, and take control of the second character. And if one player has to leave the game, it's a quick matter to return control of that character back to the AI. Unfortunately, there are no plans to include any sort of online play into any version of the game at this point. The only other real drawback I saw during my time with the game was the repetitive nature of the enemies. In even the best games, there are only so many robot drones I can blow up.

I was also lucky enough to check out the PSP build of the game. So far, it looks like everything in the console version ports over well to Sony's handheld. Nothing was said in regards to PSP multiplayer support, however the PSP is expected to have a few more unlockables and more than eight new exclusive stages to make up for any shortcomings.

Barring any dramatic changes, Justice League Heroesis shaping up to be DC's best entry yet into the video game market. Fans will love all of the cool extras thrown in, and will appreciate the distinct personalities of each character. If you're a comic book fan, or even just looking to check out a cool new action title, Justice League Heroes will definitely be worth a look when it hits store shelves this fall.
