A pet project of Lionhead Studios' Mark Healey, this unique fighting game is done entirely with physics-based animation and collision -- no pre-set animation routines, no locked-in fighting moves. Players move their characters via analog movement with the mouse as if the fighters were puppets on strings -- moving the feet and hands independently to make the characters move and fight. By coordinating movements of limbs and the body together, players can actually string together dazzling attack moves and defensive maneuvers. The game includes 16 levels of story mode, complete with a retro-style kung fu film. Players can also import graphics and use pre-made body parts to construct their own unique characters. A variety of single-player mini games include Ninja Onslaught, ChuChu Wing Pooh, Rag Doll Soccer and Rag Doll Athletics.
This game was originally released online over Valve's Steam network in October of 2005, with a box copy of the game released in August 2006 and October 2006 in the UK.
