Masterpiece Part 5

Sei'an City (Second Visit)

When you finish exploring the Underground Ruins area the second time, new partner Kage will suggest that you head back to Sei'an City and on the way will grant you the ability to warp around the world at will. Then you can start exploring familiar areas now that you have new abilities, or you can make your way directly to Sei'an City as she suggested.

Upon entering the city, Kage will remind you of your objectives. You need to see the doctor for the herbs that hopefully he has ready, and you should also visit the townsfolk to see what's new in their lives. Head to the house along the east side of town to meet with Dr. Bluebeard and you will obtain Herbs. He instructs you to take them to Dr. Redbeard in Yakushi Village.

Warp to Yakushi Village and visit the doctor's house. You'll find that he's not there at the moment. Head down the hill from there, to the save pedestal. Descend along the trail that leads down from the save pedestal and follow it to the house at the end of the walk, where Ayame (the sick girl who watched fireworks) lives. Go upstairs for a scene. You'll receive a bunch of experience points.

Now it's time to return to the Commoners' Quarter in Sei'an City. Warp there and you will hear noise coming from the direction fo the Aristocratic Quarter (over the long bridge). Head toward the nearby (oversized) torch next for a scene. When you have a chance to act, draw a connection between Raiden and the unconscious villager to earn some experience points. Then start for the Aristocratic Quarter again. You'll be able to enter the shrine, where you should save your progress and then head into the next room.

A scene plays out as you appear in the plaza beyond the shrine. Head toward Gen's house as suggested. You should run into an Aristocrat character. Present him with a map of Yakushi Village for a reward in experience points. Start up the steps behind him to the building and you'll find no doorway. Head around behind it, then use Vine magic repeatedly on the hanging flower buds to climb up the back side of the building. At the top of that building, you'll find a treasure chest with an Inkstone inside. Grab that, then enter the nearby doorway.

Inside, you'll find Gen working on a rocket. After the scene that follows, Kagu will ask if you want to get going to the cliff in Northern Ryoshima Coast. It's not a bad suggestion, but first head to the back right portion of the Aristocratic Quarter here in Sei'an City. There, next to a small pool of water, you'll find a pile of leaves. Use Galestorm to blow away the leaves and find a treasure chest, which you can open to obtain Masterpiece Part 5. Now make your way to the Northern Ryoshima Coast area. It's easiest if you just warp there from a save pedestal.

Upon arriving at the Northern Ryoshima Coast, head toward the grave site high on the cliff for a new scene. Sugawara's grave is looking nice, but then a monster appears. Akuro is his name. An unpleasant scene follows. Then you should return again to Sei'an City. There, visit Gen again in the Aristocratic Quarter for another lengthy scene. Once it concludes, you'll arrive with Kurow in the past.
