We share Esports World Cup day 33 results from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, EA Sports FC 24 and StarCraft II.

Day 33 of the Esports World Cup came with the introduction of EA Sports FC 24, with another tournament also being launched for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The StarCraft II event also continued where it left off too, with most of the results across all three game titles going as expected.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the dominant team made their intentions known early, as a majority of the games finished in a 3-0 or 3-1 fashion. The two teams being followed closely by many spectators, OpTic Gaming and Atlanta FaZe, started their campaigns with strong showings over OMIT Brooklyn and Team Falcons, respectively, with 3-0 and 3-1 scorelines.
Lore Gaming was another team that many diehard fans were eager to watch, with Alec 'Arcitys' Sanderson making his long-awaited return to the professional scene. They struggled in their first series of the day against 100 Thieves, however, one positive to take from the matchup was an impressive 6-1 stomp on Highrise Search and Destroy. Later in the day Lore Gaming also played against Team Falcons, where they would pick up their first win of the Esports World Cup 2024!

EA Sports FC 24

The first day of EA Sports FC 24 group action also got underway, which involved a total of 16 players split into two groups. Each group assumes a round-robin format and the top three will progress to the playoffs. Those who finish 4th, 5th, and 6th will head to the resurrection stage, while the 7th and 8th placed participants are sent home.
All of the games played yesterday featured a best-of-one (BO1) format with 9-minute halves. Key names to look out for included Young, a Brazilian player representing Tuzzy E-Sports, who managed to string together a flawless set of results on day 1 of the groups. In the other group, this was achieved by Bonanno, who is playing on behalf of Manchester City.

The group stages will continue until the 17th of August, with rounds 4, 5, and 6 kicking off today!

StarCraft II

In StarCraft II, it was very much business as usual, as the leading players from the title continued to run over anyone in their way. The favourite to win it all, Serral, disposed of herO with a fast 3-0, while Solar and Dark did the same to Coffee and Astrea, respectively. All of the score lines from yesterday can be seen below:
