The Esports World Cup fuses gaming and mainstream entertainment with a live music event for each week of the tournament.

The first-ever Esports World Cup has offered plenty of entertainment to fans around the world with 22 game titles full of intense, competitive action. However, with The Kingdom being eager to show their commitment to esports and entertainment as a whole, they've added a number of big-name music artists to the schedule.

A series of parties were announced, one for each week of the EWC, with everything coming to a head in the closing ceremony, which will commence on the 27th of August at 7 pm local time. This helps to solidify esports as part of mainstream entertainment, branching out from its formerly niche status.
We take a look at the musical events that have already concluded, alongside the ones that are left to come!

Events Throughout The Esports World Cup

Over 20 local, regional, and international artists have visited, or are scheduled to visit, the esports centre of the world: Riyadh, to offer a special, live performance to gaming fans. These events are known as 'AFT_r', with 7 being spread out throughout the 8 weeks of esports action.
  • Week 1: Thursday, 4th of July - Aly Fathalla, Ckay, El Grande Toto and Nooriyah
  • Week 2: Thursday, 11th of July - Wiz Khalifa, R3HAB and NileBoi
  • Week 3: Friday, 19th of July - DJ Snake, Gunna and Blacky
  • Week 4: Thursday 25th of July - G-Eazy, Sebastian Ingrosso and Shaolin
  • Week 5: Thursday, 1st of August - Alesso, Don Toliver, and Shancoty
  • Week 6: Thursday, 8th of August - Jack Harlow, Salvatore Ganacci and Sharkk
  • Week 7: Thursday, 15th of August - Afrojack and Cosmicat

Esports Closing Ceremony

Of course, the eighth and final week will be occupied by the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 Closing Ceremony, which promises to be an unforgettable night.
It all starts with etching the name of the winning team onto the EWC trophy and thus, into esports history forever. We will also be looking at the triumphant players from throughout the event, highlighting their determination, skill, and naturally, those all-important clutch moments.
An immersive event will then ensue for fans watching in person and from home, featuring a highly anticipated performance by Steve Aoki as he appears live on stage from The Venue in Riyadh.
Regardless of whether you're a gaming fanatic or prefer the thrill offered by live music shows, the Esports World Cup is a truly unique experience that looks to unite multiple forms of entertainment.
