TOMORROW, TOMORROW
He's what's in store for them. Puerto de Leitariegos is long but shallow, so should be survivable. From what he's saying, I think Ben O'Connor has already seen Sunday's stage profile.
And with that, I'll catch you manana.

BEN O'CONNOR: I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH GOING ON TODAY
I was pretty cooked. I wasn't going anywhere in a hurry today, so sad times but I guess I'm still in red, so at least that's a good thing. I just tried to manage my effort but I didn't have much going on today. Who knows what will happen the next days. Tomorrow I'll do my best to recover, try to have another day in the red jersey and see how Sunday goes.

PRIMOZ ROGLIC: STILL HAVE TO GO DAY BY DAY

It's nice to gain something ennhh, it's nice when it goes good but these hard efforts, I still feel it. Still have to go day by day, ennhh. I don't feel completely confident yet so we [Red Bull] were a bit conservative. Just have to take it day by day and see how it goes.
Classic Primoz. He's going to win the Vuelta.

NEW GENERAL CLASSIFICATION
1. Ben O'Connor 52'10'15
2. Primoz Roglic +1'21
3. Enric Mas +3'01
4. Richard Carapaz +3'13
5. Mikel Landa +3'20
6. Carlos Rodriguez +4'12
7. Florian Lipowitz +4'29
8. Felix Gall +4'42
9. David Gaudu +4'44
10. Adam Yates +5'17
The bell is tolling you'd think for O'Connor. Primoz is going from strength to strengh, but it's looking very tight for that final podium place.

O'CONNOR BATTLING TO STAY IN RED
He's rallied, and ridden well, making a valiant defence, but he's dropped a chunk of time. He crosses with the clock showing 12'49. That's less than two minutes he's lost but with what's to come his lead looks threadbare.
16:38
CARAPAZ AND MAS CROSS TOGETHER
Losing about a minute to Roglic.
16:37
PRIMOZ ROGLIC STOPS THE CLOCK 10.54 DOWN ON THE STAGE WINNER
And the clock continues to count back for the race. This will take some unpicking in a bit.
16:34
GC 1KM TO GO: ROGLIC ON HIS OWN NOW
And Sean Kelly is talking about the ones and twos. He's talking about groups of riders on the climb, but I like the image of the king on the decks. Sorry, bike racing.
16:32
GC 1.5KM TO GO: RIDERS STREWN ALL DOWN THIS MOUNTAIN
Primoz? More like Suprimoz. Other than Kuss, Richard Carapaz is the only rider who looks close to being able to match him.
16:29
GC GROUP 2.3KM TO GO: ROGLIC HAS RIDDEN ALL BUT SEPP KUSS OFF HIS WHEEL
Although O'Connor has somewhat found his rhythm we think he's already losing 90 seconds or more.

MICHAEL WOODS WINS STAGE 13!
He's puffing a bit as he nears the finish, but is otherwise looking great. A little wobble and he's just about able to zip up his jersey and point to the maple leaf as he crosses the line. Good ride for Schmid to come second and not bad for Soler in third.
16:24
700M TO GO: ROGLIC OUT OF THE SADDLE
I think his back is fine. Panic stations for Decathlon.

FLAMME ROUGE: WOODS IS ON HIS WAY TO ANOTHER GRAND TOUR STAGE
As Dani Martinez turns the screw. Mas is fine but the red jersey is struggling.
16:20
1.5KM TO GO: ROGLIC CALLS RED BULL TO THE FRONT
5km to go for them. Our commentators are saying that O'Connor is looking fine, but it seems to me that he's slipping down the order in that group.
16:18
2KM TO GO: SOLER REELING IN SCHMID

Which suggests he's got very good legs and might have used them a bit better. He's going to get second even though - I think - he was originally riding for a team-mate.
16:16
2.5KM TO GO: PELOTON ONTO ANCARES
So we don't get to give them our full attention, but we can say the stage is all but won, so this is where it gets interesting. Movistar have moved or been shoved aside, and it's time for the real teams to take over.

3KM TO GO: WOODS WITH 27 SECONDS
And rising. The time between the front of the race to the bunch has been cut by Movistar's efforts to 14'30, which says they've been riding pretty hard, but hardly furiously.
16:10
4KM TO GO: WOODS IN HIS ELEMENT
"He looks equal to it," says Carlton Kirby. That's very much my impression too. An aerial shot shows Woods with a good few hundred metres on Schmid, with Soler not too far behind him and Oomen ten metres or so further down.
16:08
4.4KM TO GO: WOODS GOES SOLO
That didn't last long. Well done to Schmid for staying with him for that long.
