About the picture: Today I have been here in Canada for 14 months and 10 days. Went for a walk with Ron this morning and we
passed by this tourist shop by the Platzl in Kimberley. I tried on a squirrel hat. It costs $46.00 (Never mind) I have better use of my money. I kinda liked it though.

This was taken by Idlewild Park. That morning, Ron and I went for a walk (yes, we like to walk). I had the chance to try riding a Toboggan once. But I ended up in a puddle and my thin gloves got all wet. So I decided to try tobogganing some other time. It was fun though.

Tuesday morning, Debbie came to work & I found myself unexpectedly having a day-off. So I took off and was heading for Fairmont Hot Spring (90 Minutes away). On my way there, I decided to check out this road which I have never been on called the White Swan Road where a supposed hot spring was to be found. 5 minutes of driving & no lake was in sight, I decided to head back to main road and continue on my way to Fairmont. The Road was too slushy. My car Crashed

The road was too slippery. My car became a giant toboggan, sliding on top of ice. I tried to maneuver back into the road but I just had no control. Next thing I know, my car was in the ditch. I had to call for a tow truck to get my car out of there. I thought that after they pull the car out that I will be able to drive to fairmont as planned. But.... the unexpected...

After they got my car out of the ditch, We noticed that my Radiator had hit a rock during the accident and it was really damaged. Then we found that the right rear wheel was disaligned. We had a mechnic assess the cost of the damages. It was about $5,000. I knew I just lost my car. There's no way I am paying that much money for repairs (I bought the car for $1,000 last year) . I'd rather buy another second hand car.

I tried to stay positive and focused. Although my car has given me a lot of empowerment and freedom - it doesn't mean that I am stripped of those opporunities. I still have them, but It's form has changed. Besides, losing my car would force me to exercise and perhaps allow me to get back in shape. I have nothing to worry about. Just because I don't have a car and don't have money does it mean I do not have a choice. I have everything I need. I have my brain and I have the character for success. So I say goodbye to my car one last time and thank the couple (The owners of the towing service) for being so kind to me. Ron ofcourse was there to my rescue. He took this photo for me. Thank you Ron!!

Ron, Rossini, Joann and Myself. I told them about the accident. We were all glad that I am ok. Surviving an accident that could have been fatal makes me think how temporary life is in this world. Next thing you know - everything is gone.I am glad to be alive still - to have the opportunity to grow and continue to Live in Love, Peace and harmony and still have the opportunity to contribute good things to other lives around me and to the rest of the world.Life itself is the treasure. I heard someone say on Oprah Winfrey Show "We are not human beings going through a spiritual experience, We are spiritual beings going through a human experience."I agree. I totally agree.

Inside the Karaoke Bar: They are looking at lists of available songs they can request for Karaoke. Marivic, Wilfred & Myself sang songs on stage and it was fun! People would normally expect someone who had gone through loss (like my car for example) to go feeling sorry for himself. But that's not me. I see the good side in things. I see that I am alive & Because I am, I choose to be happy! I have no reason to be sad!

Next Day: Back to work. Another new day. What a wonderful life! Picture: Ron driving me back to work from Elko. Now that I don't have my own car, I would have to rely on Borrowing rides, or Car pooling with friends, maybe even take the bus. The good thing is that I don't have to pay for Monthly auto insurance ($94/month) & Gas ($250). Plus theres many more good things from not having a car. hehehe.

Saturday: We've been having lots of snow. That means more snow shovelling, Snow Blowing and winter work. Also means it's a good time to ski! I still get a bit anxious driving under snowy weather since the accident. But I am confident I will not end up in the ditch ever again.

Here I am posing with my ski's on. Joann, Wilfred & Myself were laughing because It actually felt as if we were on an expensive vacation - Skiing & Eating in the resort's fine restaurant. The ski resort is most for "rich" people (as far as we're concerned). So for a moment, we felt we had some money too. hahaha.Well we all have the right to dream don't we? But don't worry, my mind is still pretty much in tune with reality. LOL.E-mail me soon please! I Hope you enjoyed my Photo E-mail for you this month! Would sure love to hear updates from you! Take Care!!!
Big Hugs and Much Love,
