A Yasiel Puig Gypsy Queen Card? It's Only Available at the National Sports Collectors Convention

In April Topps released their Gypsy Queen set, but it didn't include a Yasiel Puig card.  This isn't surprising since he had yet to play a Major League game and only current players are allowed in their MLB card sets. 

Well, over the weekend, Topps decided to fix that.  They announced on twitter a new limited edition Puig Gypsy Queen card that can only be had at the upcoming National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago.  All you have to do is go to the Topps booth with a box of their 2013 WBC Tribute cards, and open them up in their presence.  In return, you get the above Puig card.

This figures on being one of his scarcest cards of the year.  Only 100 cards per day of the show will be given out.  Since the show runs from Wednesday to Sunday this week only 500 cards have been made.

2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball - Dodgers' Relics

Finishing up on the Dodgers' cards within Topps 2013 Gypsy Queen Baseball card set, I now show the various relic insert cards that are available.  To take a look at the other Dodgers' cards I've shown so far go to this link.

First up are the mini card button cards.  As you can see, it includes an actual button piece from a game jersey.  Both Andrian Gonzalex and Clayton Kershaw are included, but I have only seen the Gonzalez card so far.  See it below.  Each card is numbered to only 3 copies.

2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball - Dodgers' Base & Mini Card Variations

2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball - Dodgers' Base Cards

Following up on yesterday's post, this time I feature the Dodgers' base cards in the 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball card set.  As you can see above, Jackie Robinson is prominently features on the box.  There are 14 Dodgers' represented in the set, with the Andre Etheir being the only short printed version.  BTW, as always there are numerous different parallel versions of each card available.  The cards below are of the normal base card, with exception of the Chris Capuano.  See them all below. 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball - Dodgers' Inserts

With the 2013 Baseball season now in full swing, Baseball card sets will begin flowing like rapids on the Columbia River.

Officially released today is Topps 2013 Gypsy Queen set.  As you may know, this set was created in homage to the vintage late-19th century card set of the same name.  It has been quite vogue to take old and long since forgotten sets, and make them new again.

Over the next few days I'll feature as many of the Dodgers' card as I can find to share with you.  So, starting today I feature the only non-relic Dodgers' insert cards available in the set.  I'll have the base cards, unique variations and other relics up soon.
