Solus stands out to me as a unique and thoughtfully crafted operating system. It was seamless to install. No hardware compatibility issues. The Budgie desktop environment is clean and modern looking. Solus performance on my slightly older Lenovo laptop from 2019 operates very smoothly and efficiently. Their package repo is limited, but combined with Flatpaks there wasn't anything I needed that I couldn't find. Solus is a rolling release, and while it took some time for me to grasp the benefits of rolling releases, it has been very stable with no issues during updates over the past several months. The Solus community has decent documentation and a helpful online forum. Overall, I don't see a need to leave Solus having come from a Debian (Linux Mint) background. Very happy with Solus!

This is so far the best distro for me on both my older and newer laptops , both with different graphic cards. This distro delivers a pleasant stable experience on both my computers. I have not had a problem on any of my computers using debian os. Fortunately I can stop distro hopping for now. I just wish they could develop a pdf document editor that works just like adobe reader on debian. Then this distro would be complete for me. Otherwise This has been my main operating system for quite a while now , and I don`t see myself returning to another distro anytime soon. Thank you debian development team for providing us this great microsoft windows alternative , to the point where this operating system most definitely outclasses old windows.

Using Pop!_OS since months. Working good on high resolution monitors under Wayland, very smooth. Has a good App store, but of curse you can install software via apt or from .deb files or via flatpak files directly. I like the menu of Pop!_OS which does not cover the whole display as it does the GNOME Menu and does not need 2 mouse clicks to open it as in default GNOME. I love the integration of the weather app and calender app into the date/time panel widget, so when you click on the date widget on the panel, you see the weather and all your apointments in calendar without having to open the calender app and weather app. The system apps like calendar, contacts have good nextcloud integration. If you don't like the default theme and icons as I do, it's not that difficult to change them, I just followed some guidelines on youtube and could install nice icons and change the theme of menu and the panel. Also what I love about Pop!_OS that it is made for multiple monitor usage, so if you open a program on the monitor B it will be minimized to the menu on the monitor B. If the mous coursor is currently on the monitor A and I hit the "super" key, the menu opens itself on the monitor A. So there are some very good designed and thougtfull concepts on Pop!_OS which I could not see on other distros. All the software I use no matter if e-mail client or music player are the newest versions, the kernel is also always updated reguralry. Pop!_OS became my daily driver system, and I am using it sinse months after trying different distros like zorin os (which is very good), mint, ubuntu, fedora, debian. For me Pop!_OS offers the best experience. I just needed an OS for office work, emails, movie streaming services, listening to high resolution music files, having regularly videocalls, programming, virtual box, reading eBooks, printing and scanning documents, youtube, online shopping on multi monitor system setup - and for that Pop!_OS works just fine.

For years I was using Manjaro KDE on my old laptop Dell Latitude 5430 (8Gb RAM). After change to MX Linux KDE it is much faster. That's a pitty I have changed so late. Another plus of MX Linux is possibility of making mirror/backup of installed distro in form of iso. Greate! It seems that other components are working well and smooth. Till now only installing of caffeine-ng was a little bit complicated - it is a pitty it is not addede to official repos. I hope that distro will continue in future.

I installed chromium browser on it and its running very smooth and fast. earlier I was using debian linux but I also wanted to try devuan linux. it is my first devuan linux installation and its quiet impressive in performance and also nice looking themes. all other applications are also running very smooth and fast. overall perfomance is very good and impressive. I would certainly recommend this distro to everyone. I compliment all the developers for their hard work.

I'm a business consultant in Japan, currently in my 50s, with a background in network engineering. I've been using Ubuntu for nearly a decade, having switched all my home computers from Microsoft Windows. Testing Slackware for a few weeks as a replacement for Ubuntu has been quite a revelation. Surprisingly, adapting the system to the Japanese language was super easy and straight forward. Despite not having changed much since I first encountered it in the 1990s, the modern Slackware is running significantly faster and more smoothly than Ubuntu, after a bit of initial troubleshooting. The sense of control over the system is palpable, even though I've only gone through the basic routines of `sudo slackpkg update` and `upgrade-all`, and installed a few SlackBuild applications as an experience. This feeling of transparency and control is something I’ve never experienced with more closed-off distributions. I am grateful to the developers and the community, and I hope the distribution continues to thrive.

Fedora was the first Linux distribution I ever tried about 8 years ago. I spent a lot of time swapping to different distributions, seeing what was different about them and what made them special. Ultimately, I realized that most distributions aren't that different for a surface level user like me. So now I am back on Fedora on my laptop and I can't find much to complain about. There's a few packages missing from the repos that I would like, and I'm personally not a huge fan of using flatpak. But other than that, there's really not much I can say. Great distribution for someone that just needs a laptop to do word processing and listen to music.

This system is not like other distributions. But talk about its complexity is greatly exaggerated. There is a lot of information on the Internet about how to install and remove packages, how to configure gpu, how to start and stop services via configuration.nix. Of course, I would like all this information to be collected in a wiki. But if information on solving a problem cannot be found on the Internet, friendly discourse.nixos.org forum users come to the rescue. As for me, the system just works now.

bsolutely stable distribution with intuitive desktop (Cinnamon), although that is of course a matter of taste. I have been using Mint for several years in the latest version. Upgrades from one major version to the next usually work. It has everything you need at first, especially a good file explorer and tools (e.g. file renaming for multiple files at once) out of the box. I have tested many others (including Ubuntu, MX Linux, Manjaro, EndeavourOS, Garuda), but I always come back to Mint. Only the Ubuntu base is occasionally annoying, but the criticism is directed at Ubuntu. Maybe one day I'll switch to the Debian edition.

It works out-of-the-box for me, recognizing every device on my 2016-aged Asus laptop. At startup, after an accurate cleanup of preinstalled packages (not so many by the way, I just remove asian/arabic fonts, brand-specific printing stuff and PIM-related stuff) I have a stable KDE 5 system consuming just 650MB. Everything is customizable both from Mageia Control Center and, of course, from KDE settings. Updating repositories to enable backports and backports-testing gets me new versions from Cauldron. Wayland works fine and, along with Pipewire, is easy to switch and to configure against the predefined X11 and PulseAudio choices. The choice of software is not rich as Fedora or Ubuntu (neither the support from the industry), but using KDE Discover with Flatpak enabled solves most of the additional needs.

As the continue to polish this, it will be become one of the best. There is really not much to complain about for an alpha release. I've used full released M$ windows versions that were much worse. Pop is really easy to use in general and i suspect most people beginner or advanced can really enjoy it. I plan to make it my daily driver when its fully ready and for an alpha its pretty close already. It also works well as a gamer distro. I have tried most distros for gaming stability and mint seems to be the most solid. ( drauger is not quite ready from my perspective but getting closer. It is difficult to install and behaves differently almost every time during install.

seems to be a major version. it installed well on my 7840 amd ryzen laptop and is fluid without bugging. the possibility to benefit from the pro security updates is great, it's my personnal laptop at home and I'm really happy so far. only regret, the file manager can not be setup with 2 columns like the one of mint. Also I guess I'm using the wayland version, which runs without noticing the change. Maybe for developments, I'd like to stay with the deb version felt some bluriness with some of the snap versions. I don't know if they are the future but they still have some work ahead. debs are great. Last but not least, Ubuntu is one of the easyest to install, configure and maintain because so many website's article and news to follow. Ubuntu deserves a big 9. Would love to tell you about my longest experience with EndeavourOS. The OS website states that it is a Trminal-Based OS. The first experience was a bit strange, as I had used convenient application stores (Mint, Manjaro etc) before, but now I have mastered Linux much better and now using EndeavourOS is a pleasure. Out of the box I get an adequately configured, empty OS. I choose myself what applications I need, installation takes little time. And if you create a command document, the startup is even faster. So far I don't need to use Flatpack, as pacman and AUR cover my needs completely, so I have the latest versions of programs and kernel. Plasma desktop is stable, maybe there are a couple of nuances, but they come from Plasma itself. As for me, I don't see any disadvantages of the OS, especially for normal routine work. Virtualization, Windows 10 on KVM works without any problems.

Debian 12 XFCE is running smoothly on my Thinkpad thus far. I opted for a clean install rather than upgrade from 11.7 because I had introduced some testing and unstable bits to 11.7. Everything in stable is serving me well though I have installed Firefox from unstable only because the ESR version gets stale too quickly for my taste. I like having the non-free repo by default. It's nice to have functional wifi and graphics from the start, though that never seemed too hard to resolve by obtaining the correct firmware bits. Debian takes a little fiddling as compared to some distros (Ubuntu-based distros, for example) but this creates an opportunity to learn something about what is actually happening. For those not inclined to fiddle with things from time to time, Debian might not be the right answer. For those who want a fairly straightforward and functional system without a lot of extra bells and whistles, I'd say give it a try.

Destroyed trust. Up until the disastrous implementation of plasma 6, my neon system had been a great kde platform. For several years I found it to be more sturdy than kubuntu, manjaro kde, and mx linux kde. Plasma 6 was indicated as a security update. It was a disaster. Black screens, wayland updates getting earlier fixes than x11, disappearing panels, boot issues--all without warning. And this was on the User Edition (not the Testing, Unstable or Developer editions). I didn't lose anything, but time--time in switching to a new OS. Neon's website now states that the User Edition is "Ideal for adventurous..." Neon should come with a warning that it is not for serious use.

Considering the majority of distros are bloated with stuff many users don't need finding something basic is not so easy and since Netrunner Core is now abandoned that's another one less to choose from. Yes you can do a net install of Debian or there's Q4 or Neon but the Darkstar version of PCLinuxOS for me is just perfect plus being independent it doesn't rely on mixing it's own stuff with someone else's code. I have it installed on four very different systems and stuff you mostly expect to fail on at least one such as Bluetooth and my collection of Wi-Fi dongles all work out of the box. I only found it necessary to install kdeconnect via Synaptic.

I had no problems, the installation runs via Calamaris and is a little easier than Debian KDE. It's a little more preconfigured, you don't have to do as much as with Debian, but it's still pure Debian, which I like. The KDE is still 5.27 like Debian, but you can work well with it too, I don't always have to have the latest software. Everyone as they wish. That's why stability is in the foreground, which is important to me, the computer has to run, I don't have time to tinker with it in case something doesn't work again.

Amazing distro. Providing a unique feel and with Pacman, making many programs available in a simple, fast setup is a god send. The only 2 things that I see as an issue: 1) KDEWallet always popping up. There is a work around by downloading and installing the KDEWallet manager. But that leads to the other issue 2) The default package installer needs a bit of help. On initial setup it is broken on many devices and must be fixed via terminal. From there everything seems to be pretty sound. Love the layout and the interface, and how easy it is to get many programs working with little effort.

It's probably the most well-rounded distribution out there. I had no problem with my hardware and most of my applications and utilities were running smoothly and very stable. It's the fastest distribution I've tried. The only nitpick I found is that the KDE Plasma experience isn't the best, especially if you compare it to Fedora which has a better setup but is more unstable than Debian. KDE Plasma should be more minimal but the installer will bloat the system with some unnecessary [for some people] applications. Other than that, It is the most enjoyable Linux experience I've had and I will stick to it.

I installed Crowz linux about a month ago, and it was a great choice being it was based on Devaun. I started using linux this year in February, when a friend suggested me to use LinuxMint. After that I tried endeavourOS and Arch, and I didn't liked systemD, it was slow and it felt old. Arch was not for me, and I wanted something light for daily use that dosn't break. I distrohopped a lot, I used debian, Opensuse, ubuntu and many more. I found Crowz, and I didn't know what it was, so I tried it in a virtual machine. At first I had trouble with partitions, then I heard that Crowz has a poor repository and many other things but pretty much same as Debian. After this long distrohop Crowz linux was my last choice for a distro.. After months, in June I decided it was time to change and gave another shot to install another Crowz, JWM this time. This time I had better knowledge on linux, and I had 0 trouble whit partitions and the desktop. After using Openbox for a long time on Debian and arch I decided to go for Fluxbox, which I personally love the simplicity of it. Synaptic is so good, I think it's better than pacman. The site is straight to the point whit a really good interface and I downloaded the iso in 1 minute. After I installed and tweaked Fluxbox as I liked, I was really shocked to see that the boot and the shutdown were really fast, and the webcam and the brightness worked after a clean install. I'm on Crowz Fluxbox for a month and everything worked fine, nothing broken after an update, got all the stuff I need. I never thought of using Fluxbox as my daily driver, and here I am. Crowz was the perfect distro for me, I had a minimal Fluxbox install, whit just the basic stuff, a browser, a file manager and a terminal, and I installed later other applications I needed. If I never risked trying something new I would not be here, so my advice is to give a shot to this distro. Maybe it isn't right for you, but at least you know something new, Crowz is simple, if you use it for work or as a daily driver, use a window manager and then nice it not as bloated as a DE, put a window manager like Openbox or JWM and it will never break. I think it can improve a lot, white more packages on the non-free repos, because let's be honest, not everyone wants to use only free open source software, but overall it's a 10/10 for a great experience as a daily driver. I have changed sysVinit for Runit, very easily and quick.

This is style of linux I have longed to see for some time now. My first foray was with Mepis back in 2006 on a pentium. Today MX Linux runs on every peice of hardware I throw at it both very old and very new, even old macbooks and every piece of hardware just works. It even runs software that I see others complain about all the time with ease. OBS for one. If you need more AV centric AVLinux is now based on MX Linux. Since it uses such minimal resources I use it as a server running jellyfin for a TV box and server, in one. It works better at gaming than the Gaming OS's i tried for my intel system running a Nvidia 1650, Nothing massive for hardware i know, but before installing MX Linux, I had all kinds of errors on that system, and terrible framerates. When i switched to MX Linux and installed steam, again everything just worked with minimal tweaking if any at all. It even has a 386 version which can be run on very old hardware and it revives it for a modern OS that just works.

Installed as guest in Virtualbox running on Win11 without a hitch, it ran smoothly while I poked around without incident. I couldn't install the VBoxAdditions because the kernel headers needed to be installed first, I've no doubt that can be done with very little research but I wanted to install to bare metal next so I didn't bother. After setting aside a partition on the ssd drive I installed it and again, no issues. Now to how it looks and feels. For those who have been around since Win95 this in many ways is reminiscent of those days, perhaps even an early beta of Win95 because the final release Win95 was a very polished product of it's time whereas this is more like a run-up to that point. It is functional though a little clunky but clunky never hurt anyone right? It's modest use of ram is no doubt of interest to anyone running an antique or hand-me-down, for everyone else it's very snappy as one might expect. The first shock I got was opening the installed web browser. Forgive me I've forgotten the name of it and to be frank I think thats a good thing, much like not recalling the details of an serious accident one has been involved in, as the mind attempts to save one from the stress. The browser had a link to the BBC website so I thought right then, let's take a look-see.. but no! It cannot correctly display the BBC's website. I know.. criminal right?! ANyhoo... so this distro works, it runs, it's small, it's quick, and before anyone says it... it's free.

Been using Ubuntu since 2010 on multiple laptops and desktops. Updated from 22.04 to 24.04 on a 14 year old Gen 1 I7 iMac, this 11 year old Gen 3 i5 Windows lap top and a 4 year old Gen 10 i7 Windows all in one. The only glitches encountered were self inflicted on the Windows all in one, otherwise no problems, as with previous Ubuntu installs and updates. All machines run fine, except the i5 lap top is a tad slow at start-up. The old iMac is pretty snappy despite having only 4 gigs of ram. I gave up on Windows 11 on the all in one due to last months Windows update totally messing up start-up and connecting with wifi. No such problems with Ubuntu. So far it has enabled continued life/usefulness for two old machines.

It's extremely nice because I can sort and control all my packages, which was a significant pain point with Arch. With Arch, there was always this sense of "magic" behind the scenes that often led to frustration. LFS (Linux From Scratch) eliminates that by making everything transparent and built by me. I appreciate the hands-on approach and the clarity it brings. Additionally, I find LFS's system navigation to be more intuitive and straightforward compared to many other distributions, which can be cluttered and less user-friendly. The entire process of building and customizing everything from scratch has been incredibly rewarding and has greatly enhanced my understanding of Linux. Overall, I give LFS a 9.9 out of 10 in my review for its clarity, control, and customization capabilities.

I previously posted about not being able to connect to my bluetooth speaker with Zorin Pro Lite. After a few more re boots I noticed that I did not select "trusted" when the device came up. My new problem was that the device was not even being listed but the reboot fixed that. Then I selected "trust" this device and then I was able to pair wth it. Previously, I never selected "trust" device, but instead just selected the connect device at the top menu and it would just work. Long story short, I was something I wasnt doing and not the fault of Zorin. I'll continue to use Zorin Pro (lite) because of Zorins work to improve on xfce. I am a previous user of MX Linux for several years. Have used Fedora (gnome, mate), Debian (gnome), Mint (cinnimon, mate), PopOs (2022 version).

Trying out Zorin Pro Lite. Could not get bluetooth to work with speaker. Detected it but would not connect. Then it would not even detect the speaker. Will go back to Zorin (free). I was under impression that Zorin Pro Lite would use the gnome desktop but instead it uses the xfce desktop. I liked it but must have the bluetooth working. I tried rebooting a few times but with no luck. Seems like always some issue with linux distributions. MX linux was previous distro used and I used it for several years until I got bored with the xfce desktop.

Fedora is one of the best distros I used so far. It is super stable but unlike other stable distro you got more updates and more new software versions in the repos. Besides from that you can build your own custom fedora iso with kickstart. I think fedora is one of the best overall distros for all people out there. The only things i experienced that was bad on my machine was thr long loading time when i restarted to install an update and that a lot of software you need to develop android apps is missing in the repos.

I have two Vero 4K devices running OSMC, which I use to play music, using a Kodi app on a phone as a remote. Works great, has been running for the last four years without problems. It's easy to keep updated and just works. Yes, I agree that systemd is displeasing to the purist in one, but it's a device OS, not one I tinker with. There is a nice interface if connected to a monitor, plays videos, and all that. On the other hand, it can be managed over ssh with apt-get, etc., if minimalism is your thing. Over all, it's a stable, reliable Debian Kodi integration, which deserves to be better known. Kudos to Sam Nazarko for his vision, great work, and friendly support on the few occasions I have needed to ask.

Now I have version 22 installed and I am very satisfied (after all, as in previous years). Linux mint is not only for beginners, but also for all those who require stability in their work. I recommend everyone to install linux mint. He will not repent. The only complaint about linux mint is that it is so stable that it is boring :), but my middle name is boredom, so it is not difficult for me.

Version 21.9 was the last time I last took this for a spin. The impression I've come away with time is not dissimilar to the one following my previous outing. There's been time and effort put into this distro, yet I'm left wondering between v21.9 and this one what the intended direction of travel is. Previously I felt 21.9 was quite disappointing on several fronts, not least of which was the sense the dev had paid no attention to issues that really should have been addressed before it's release. v24.8 seems to be a continuation of the underlying philosophy which has thus far produced significant criticism and little improvement.

Came across TUXEDO while watching/learning about Linux, and eventually converted both of my laptops and my home PC to it. It's very versatile and came with everything I need. You can even switch between X11 and Wayland at the log-in screen if you really have a preference. The KDE Plasma is the desktop environment and set up so similar to Windows that a new, or at least intuitive, user should have no trouble navigating it. Would absolutely recommend, though not necessarily to a brand new user. I consider the fact that it's distributed by a PC hardware company a plus, as it makes regular updates.

It is a distribution that lags behind because it uses the stable version of Debian. All software included is 2 years old. Even though we warned the distribution owners many times, they do not innovate at all. Yes, this distribution is made in my own country, but it is a distribution that I would never install on my computer. If one day he gives up his stubbornness and follows the innovations, I may consider reinstalling it, but in this state it will continue to be used only in government institutions. It cannot reach the end user. Hey pardus, are you open to criticism?

MakuluLinux offers a beautifully crafted user experience with its Gnome desktop, providing a sleek and modern interface that RoseMarin found visually appealing. However, her enthusiasm took a dive when she discovered it couldn't play Roblox, leading her to give it a score of zero in her eyes. While the aesthetics and features of Gnome were enjoyable, both RoseMarin and I couldn't help but miss the familiarity and customization options that KDE offers, reminding us of the importance of finding the right balance between functionality and personal satisfaction in an operating system.

I tried out Tumbleweed and liked it: It booted reasonably quickly for a systemd distro, and ran quite well. But I had to replace it as I'm a pensioner on a metered internet connection and the constant updates really hit my data budget. So I'll give Leap a try as soon as I accumulate enough data to download the >4GB iso file. I probably should've gone that route in the first place. I'll stick to Void for a rolling release as it doesn't have anywhere near as many updates, and use openSUSE Leap on my "must work at all times" machine.

New Nvidia RTX 40 series works perfect on Ubuntu 24.04 and i get better performance than Windows in this time, Ubuntu finally beated Windows at Nvidia CUDA performance, but upgrading to 24.04 form 22.04 is not opened and we waiting still but its not a big deal. I experienced some freezes, on apps sometimes they not opening like Settings app not starting, its fixed now i think, on laptops i had desktop graphical glitchs triggers by something unknown. New Gnome version is great for good looking and i think Ubuntu can make it better a bit for console , espacially some apps stuck at Gnome 42 or 41 which is console, if its updated then everything will be great, the performance is awesome, but one thing that annoys me is Ubuntu doesnt care Snap Store but cares snaps apps, Snap Store full of exploits and infected apps are not controlled by Ubuntu so thats a dissapointment, if everything is deb than its will be fine espacially snaps are so slow, for example Firefox, when i install Ubuntu im deleting snap and installing deb version which is 4 times faster, try it.

Project: Liya Version: 2.0 Rating: 5 Date: 2024-08-21 Votes: 0

As already mentioned in Jeff Siegel's review on August 19, 2024, the distro is easy to install via Calamares and once installed it is fluid and fast. It comes with good pre-installed applications (such as Brave and OnlyOffice), as well as the official Pamac package manager from Manjaro. But it stops there. When trying to update the distro (which should be somewhat trivial), either through Pamac or the command line, in addition to requiring the confirmation of several keys (an annoying process), in the end it presents an update error. I preferred not to continue testing. With other better options based on Arch Linux, the Liya distro should not even have been released as a final version for now.

Linux Mint surprisingly just gets better and better each release, more polish, newer software, including Cinnamon and release 22 is no exception. The latest Cinnamon on the latest LTS base just works great. I'm not a fan of X-Apps but those are easily replaced with their analogs from Gnome or MATE. The other default packages are pretty good but some aren't useful to me so a quick apt purge cleans up what I don't use. I use and pay for Softmaker office so I replace Libreoffice, Softmaker office runs perfectly under Mint. I used to replace Transmission with qBittorrent but my needs have changed and Transmission is simple and works great. Celluloid is a fantastic player. It's hard to come up with 250 words but Mint is the best distro I've ever used, I try them all but always come back to Mint eventually.

Brand new warehouses, atomic updates, and self-developed package formats are available for everyone to use and experience. This release does not support V20 cross-version upgrades. Linglong deepin's self-developed software package format is committed to managing various compatibility problems caused by the complex dependency of traditional software package formats under the Linux system, as well as security risks caused by too loose permission control. It is aimed at any Linux distribution, and supports incremental application updates, so you can experience application package management, distribution, sandboxing, and other functions. Improved ease of use and security, and greatly protect the privacy of users.

This is supposed to be a low-resource-focused distro, however it hasn't been able to boot in live mode, not even in safe mode. On my 17-year-old Dell laptop, a cursor keeps blinking in the top left corner and after several minutes nothing happens at all. I remember that in 2020, this worked without problems. So I think they have removed support for older hardware, since this has happened to me in many other distros. However, Zorin, Mx linux and Manjaro do work and boot, even after being installed.

I try a lot of distros and desktop environment until some years, . My favourite is the debian, ubuntu based ones with KDE, but the last 2 years i used Tumleweed. Almost everything works, but just almost. Some issues with update, wifi, and printer. I decided to chose other distro. I suffered a lot because always had something problem with printer, appearance settings, mounting usb, installing app, or working stremio. But i have given a chance Q4OS Plasma! Finally, it works!! Everything, i mean really everything what i need. Fine installation, settiings, even the Discover and the updates, printers, stremio, you can use flatpaks. It is fantastic, great thanks!!

I've been seeing people complain about silly things with MXLinux. My experience it that it simply works, with a variety of hardware. MS Winders is a paid for OS that is probably the only other system that has run this cleanly for me for the last 20 years. Like Winders, you have to know where to go to adjust things to your discretion. Spend the time to learn it. I recently reconfigured MX to act and look like Winders just to see if I could. It was fun! The update process patches all the holes so I suggest people just let it run.....and not be so upset over not having absolute control over every minute process. This is a VERY solid system. Spend the time and get to know it. Its solid, stable, and is ready out of the box.

I installed and tested pop os 24.04 on my laptop with 4 GB ram, i5 3rd generation processor, 128 GB ssd, 1 GB amd ati radeon graphics card. The result is PERFECT!!! I was very surprised to see such a great performance on such an old laptop! If the alpha version is like this, it is very difficult to guess how great the stable version will be. pop os will write its name in gold letters in history as a distribution that represents the beginning of the golden ages of the linux world! Greetings from Türkiye.

Deepin has been my go-to distro for desktop computing since its v20 release. It is a decent replacement for Debian / Ubuntu that too "just works". The DDE, its own desktop enviroment, can be configured to make a MS Windows user feel right at home whilst having better aesthetics, this is the reason why I finally decided to fully ditch Windows for it. Throughout the update cycles, old bugs go, new bugs come, but it is now reaching a point of stability that reassures daily-driving it. I am currently running v23-RC2 and at the time of writing, v23 Release just dropped. Looking forward to it!

I have been using Linux Mint for over 10 years. The best distro of all for its unbeatable stability, ease of use, easy installation and speed. I have always used the XFCE edition. The most complete and balanced of all the editions. Last year I bought a Beelink SER5 Mini PC, and with the previous version of Linux Mint the sound in the headphone port did not work. With the new version 22 it finally worked from the first moment. Surely due to the 6.8 kernel that comes with the distro. Excellent as always Linux Mint.
