Butterfly Princess

Hello Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a vintage card with a splash of colour featuring this stunning image by Saturated Canary.

Dies used include:
Lala Land Eiffel Tower

I've coloured this gorgeous 'Butterfly Princess' from Saturated Canary with Copics and distressed the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink  and a distressing tool. I've layered her over some coordinating designer papers which have been distressed too.

I've added some simple die cut embellishments with the Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Daisies, Lala Land Eiffel Tower and my favourite Dies R Us Butterflies. I've finished it off with a few rhinestones & pearls and a swipe of Wink of Stella.

There is still time to play along over at the Challenge Blog. Challenge #27 will be running through until on June 28. The theme is 'Flags &/or Banners'. There is a great variety of awesome DT for inspiration. To be in the running for the $10 voucher at the Dies R Us store simply use a die in your challenge entry.

Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of the ladies on the  Dies R Us team. Until next week, happy crafting!

Delightful Daisies

Greetings to all of the Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is a simple, bright & cheerful one.

Dies used include:

Art By Miran Delightful Daisy

I've used the Art By Miran 'Delightful Daisy' image and coloured her with Copics and framed her with the Docrafts Xcut Nesting Oval then layered her on the Docrafts Xcut Nesting Scallop Oval. I've then used both the Cheery Lyn Designs Fanciful Flourish Left and Cheery Lyn Designs Fanciful Flourish Right to add some scrolls to an otherwise clean centre-step card. I added my sentiment to the Lala Land Folding Banner which is one of my favourites (this die actually comes in 2 lengths!)

Baby Balloon Boy

Greetings Dies R Us friends!

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is once again requested by my husband whose good friend became a father! I'd been waiting for the news to but was not organised early with an already made card so only had an hour to throw something together as he wanted to go & visit! So this is what I put together for the new little cherub.

Dies used include:
Poppystamps Simple Banner.

Due to the short time frame I was given I used a simple imaged from Bugaboo Stamps called 'Birthday Baby Balloon' and coloured it with Copics to match my designer papers. I used the Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 1 to cut and frame the image before layering it over the designer papers.

I die cut the Lala Land Folding Banner before I stamped the sentiment on it and added it to the bottom of the card, along with a couple of buttons with twine. It was still missing something so I added the Poppystamps Simple Banner in the corner for a bit of embellishment. I then finished the card off with a bit of embossing glitter and some cute little twine bows.

I hope you've had a chance to check out the other amazing creations from all of the other members of the Dies R Us Design Team. Please come back next week for more wonderful inspiration from all of us again and until next week, happy crafting!

Do you Believe in Angels?

Greetings Friends of Dies R Us. Thanks for joining me on this Friday. The weekend is just around the corner, and if you are like me that means I get to have some crafting time in my Studio! Yippee! Today's card inspiration is brought to you by a few different companies. My card below was created using the following dies:

This gorgeous 'Lil Angel Wings' stamp is by Sherri Baldy (aka My Bestie) and I've coloured her with Copics. I'm hopeless at trying to keep my cards soft with that vintage feel (which I think is such an adorable style however I just can't seem to master) so my cards are always filled with wonderful colour!

The beautiful and delicate Memory Box Vaudeville Frame really pops in colour against the soft grey background paper I've used. I've also brought out the colours in her dress with the line of Lala Land Rolled Roses along the bottom, which is layered on top of the Magnolia DooHickey Swirls. I've actually cut one of the curls off so that it would line up across the bottom smoothly.

My 'Believe' sentiment is stamped on the second smallest die in the Spellbinders Heart Circles set. I've finished off my card with some rhinestones in the same array as the roses and a couple of gathered ribbons running down the sides.

Thanks for stopping by and spending time here with me. Be sure to click over to the Dies R Us site to check out all of the New Arrivials and all of your favorite brands all in the one spot! And please come back next week to get another dose of inspiration from all of the talented members of the Design Team.

Cheers!

You Are Fabulous!

Greetings Dies R Us friends! Alicia here rounding up our first week in blogland.

First let me say that I'm super excited to be a part of this wonderfully talented design team here at Dies R Us, and I hope that we will inspire you with our projects. So make sure that you come back and follow us regularly on this creative journey both here on the blog and also on our Facebook page.

Now, for my first inspirational project I've used Sassy Studio Designs 'Effie Trinket'. I've coloured her with Copics in soft spring colours. Although I've kept the base & image shape simple, I've used 3 gorgeous dies to create my spring theme.

I've used the Cheery Lyn Victorian Picket Fence die in white (and who doesn't love a white picket fence?). The cluster of flowers were created using the LaLa Land Rolled Rose die and edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Kindyglitz. I've layered the cluster on top of a bright yellow Magnolia DooHickey Swirl die to bring the colours of the tulips in the background paper out.

And finally, I've finished off the card with a bit of bling, being more Kindyglitz and rhinestones.

Thanks for visiting our blog and I hope I've given you some inspiration or at least left you with some creative ideas to try. Please come back on Monday for Mikha's next stunning creation and be sure to look back over the other design team member's creations from this week.

Cheers!
Alicia
