Calif. health exchange shares data without consent

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The California health exchange says it’s been giving the names of tens of thousands of consumers to insurance agents without their permission or knowledge in an effort to hit deadlines for coverage.

Hey, we’re the Ruling Class.  We don’t need no steenking consent.

It’s interesting, isn’t it?  If you don’t hand over your particulars to the hacker’s heaven that is the Obamacare web site, then the state exchanges will hand them out anyway.

So you’re trading your liberties for safety and security?  Guess what.  You’re going to get, and deserve, neither.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
