SENIOR SESSION: Lily Class of 2018

Senior Sessions
The crisp, coolness of the air is reminding me that Fall is creeping in...
We had a lovely summer and I love my flip flops and tanks...I loved water balloon fights and eating ice cream out on the patio...
but, I'm ready for jeans...for sweatshirts and roasting marshmallows...for apple pie and pumpkin spice...
and for Senior Sessions...
I've got lots lined up for September...this beautiful birthday month of mine...
I love the challenge of discovering individual personalities...
Some people may assume that a Senior Session is relatively "easy"...for both a photographer and the subject...
I would beg to differ...
It's intimidating to be the ONLY person in front of the camera...with noone to hug or interact with except a big ole piece of lens staring in your face...it takes time to get comfortable and figure out your groove...
With only one person, you tend to not move as much either...and so it's a fine balance for the photographer, not wanting to give too much instruction that it becomes exacting and so precise that the "fun" is lost...at the same time, figuring out how to capture the best light, the best pose that fits a character...
I am loving the challenge however...
Lily and I worked well together...it could have begun when we met the first time in a downpour of rain that wasn't supposed to be there on the radar...and so a rescheduling had to take place and we began again...
she's got a fun-loving spirit that makes you want to smile...and it's coupled with the "girl next door", "down to earth-i-ness" that makes you feel like you've just met a new best friend.
What a lovely morning we had in the sunshine...on our last little goodbye to warmer weather...
Congratulations Lily...I know it will be a GREAT year!
