If you like Icelandic Knits and you Knit then
you'll really like this book.

With this book you will discover the beauty of Icelandic knitting.
You'll be able to knit your own cardigans, socks, mittens, bags, slippers and much more.

With the book you are able to learn the basics of this knitting style
as well as the more intricate Icelandic techniques.
You will find everything you need to know from knitting in the round
and felting through to shaping sweaters and knitting with beads.

The book also provides lots of helpful tips on how to adapt traditional patterns
to make your own unique designs.
There are lots of colourful step-by-step photos and easy-to-follow instructions,
this book is perfect for the beginner as well as the more advanced knitter.

I just couldn't believe the amount of help the book offers.
Everything from detailed instructions, clear photo's, charts & much more.
I also loved the family feel of the book and the way Gunn
helps you on your way to designing it on your own.

I must admit some of the styles weren't quite right
for me but I am sure with a colour and yarn change
they would look much better.

Not only is the book giving you patterns for all the family
to wrap them up warm is this chilly weather.
You are also getting patterns for accessories.

There are so many useful techniques that the book helps
you master that you are bound to find something
to help you with your knitting.

I know the styles might not be to everyones taste
but over all the book does offer good value for money.
You will get so much out of the book to use with
future knitting projects.

I received a free copy of the book to review.
However all opinions expressed are my own.

Boot Cuffs & Ear Warmers ~ Crochet Book Review

#Boot Cuffs & #Ear #Warmers ~ #Crochet #Book #Review

Boot Cuffs & Ear Warmers
Available in Book & eBook format from LeisureArts.com

I decided that the weather is so cold and wet
I would buy me a crochet book that would
make me some good looking accessories.

I loved the look of this book as each pattern
has a set of matching boot cuffs & ear warmers.

I am thinking of making myself a few sets
in different colours so I can match them to any outfits I am wearing.

The patterns are in written format and really easy to follow.
They are written in using easy or easy-plus skill levels
so that most crocheters will be able to make them.

Deborah Molnar has used her skills to design versatile sets
that would look good with any look.

I'm really looking forward to making a number of these sets.
I am very pleased I purchased the eBook and will be looking
out for more of Deborah's work.

What You Doing Wednesday Week 93

I hope your week is going well!

Sorry this post is slightly later than normal.
I had one of those days yesterday and decided
to give up fighting it.
It wasn't anything major I had just decided to get
some things sorted and managed to do none of them.
Hopefully today will be a bit better.

I've been making some big decisions lately.
Nothing I can talk about but I have decided
I am just going to embrace my CFS
and work with it instead of fighting it.
I am changing my rests to see if it will have a positive impact.
I have put a lot of things into place so that
I can get help if I need it.
I have some fantastic friends that will do the
school run with Little Red.
I still want to do it as much as possible
but I am going to admit more when I need help.
I feel a lot happier for making the decision.

We had a really relaxing week last week.
Hubby got some jobs done.
I love having a husband that can.
We know have a new light and fan fitted in the bathroom.
We didn't get as much done as I was hoping
but hubby needed some rest and relaxation.

I had a fantastic making weekend this weekend.
The weather was horrible so I curled up on the couch
and did some crocheting.
I do love to #Crochet when the weather isn't good.
I managed to finish them the same day so I'll
just give you a sneak peek today :-).

This is what the pattern should look like:
Kabibe Crocheted Hat Crochet Pattern

I also bought the Hooded Cowl with Buttons
It should look something like this when it's finished:
Red_hooded_cowl_small2

Whilst I was making the hood Little Red
decided he wanted one.
He didn't want it girly so he goes
light grey with no buttons.
I decided to design it myself
as he wanted it pretty plain.

He is very excited about it and with the weather
being so wet & cold it will be perfect
for him to wear at the moment.

I haven't had chance to read much more of the
book I'm reading so you'll have to wait till next week.

I have been buying some fun things to do with
Little Red so we'll have some fun things
to show you in the coming weeks.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
