Awersome - Canvas Corp Brands

When I was little coloring was one of those things that could keep me occupied for hours. When I was a bit younger than I am today, I often found myself with some younger relatives coloring books surrounded by the little big eyed owners. I even got a Mermaild´s Coloring book for my 25th birthday….. Well imagine what happened when I got my hands on the Tattered Tangles!

The Tattered Tangles are printed on mistable paper that is really heavy and give your colors a perfect base. You can use the papers as they are or cut them up to fit your project. Words & Paintery´s October Challenge

Yellows - Prima´s October PPP

It has been a while since I did something for any of the Prima Challenges. Originally this was ment for the BAP but I somehow lost it during the process. I still don´t know if I really like it or not. Kind of struggled with the colors...

I have had this paper for quite some time, but haven´t found a suitable project for it. But the colors worked well with the PPP colors so it was a perfect match. I covered it with a thin layer of gesso so the Color Bloom sprays wouldn´t stuck to the paper at once.  To add texture I added a bit of Texture Paste (White Sand).

Ammarnäs - Page Drafts Release #35

Looking for a some really inspiering sketches to use? Well today is release day for another set of lovely and cool sketches by the Nifty Pixel over at Page Drafts.

Here is my take on sketch 35.5 by the Nifty Pixel. I have used some funky papers from SODAlicious together with leftovers, a old badge from American Crafts and some other stuff from my drawer. The cool xxx stamp is Kasia Krzyminska´s for Scrapbook Diaries.

New Beginning - 7 Dot´s Studio Sept-Oct Challenge

Today I´m showing a layout I made for 7 Dot´s Studio new challenge "New Beginning".

Mixed Media Canvas

In my part of the world fall is almost here. The dark evenings are perfect for a cup of tea and a book - or for some creative time! I made this canvas yesterday. I seldom have plans for my project, but this has been in my mind for a couple of night when I have been sleepless (full moon...). To make it more fun it comes with a video tutorial - my first ever so have that in mind when you watch.

The canvas base is a piece of heavy cardstock that comes in a various of colors. I think I have had it for almost ten years without knowing what to do with it...

A tiny bit inspired by the song "My Hometown" by the Wannadies i must admit... This page is made for the 7 Dots studio January Challenge about geometrical shapes.

Endings....

Were looking at the end of October this week. I kind of have a hard time realizing we´re heading against Christmas in just a short while. The weather doesn´t help - normally this time a year we have minus degrees and pretty often some snow. Today it was +10 degrees Celcius! Imagine that....

 

I´m back after a long weekend filled with joy, paper, glue and ink! Spending early Saturday til late Sunday cropping with my friends is one of this years youful moments. Creativity vise it wasn´t such a great weekend. I managed to do many of my assignments for November and one for December, but it felt like I kind of lost my style somewhere on the way to the crop. I don´t know if it depends on the online workshops I´m attending that constantly give me new intriguing dimensions to scrapbooking and Mixed Media. I´m not a flowery person, and now I have flowers on everything. OOOOps!

Punky Scraps JULY Challenge - Neat Bubbles

I made this page for Punky Scraps July challenge. A combo challenge - moodboard & sketch. I love how it turned out. The background paper was a bit tricky to use, and I didn´t want to cut it up. Using it as a background made good use of it I think.

Sweet Bubbels - Crazy Monday Kits GDT

I have a soft spot for polka dots, I must admit. This Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper made me excited as you can imagine!

 To set the base for my photos and decorations, I used two differents stamps (Kaisercraft, not with the kit) and black ink. On top of that I added a Crafter workshop stencil and a template from SODAlicoius (brackets). I love using leftovers, and for this page I did use two small pieces of paper that was left over when working with this kit. Then I built the bottom layer of my little “stack” of embellishments. The card was glued onto the cork tag, and then I added the chipboard frame last.

The pink and orange flowers doesn’t come with the kit, but they mix well with the Swagger buttons that does. The cork arrows was made by cutting pieces from the Little Yellow Bicycle Cork banners. The small details are the highlights in this page. With that I mean the washi tape from Freckled Fawn, the pink arrows from Studio Calico and the pink scrappers floss.

I must say I really, really enjoyed working with this kit. I haven´t added many things from my own stash!

Totally Cool - Crazy Monday Kits GDT

I used the spotty Humorous paper from the Fancy Pants Swagger collection for this page. The clouds on the top is a piece of the paper that had a little boy on it. I layered a piece of left over patterned paper and a baking tray paper under the photo of my cheerful son, to achieve a two dimensional effect.

 The chipboard word “totally” fitted so well as titel, I just added the word cool with the Prima alphas on top of a chipboard banner. I added some yellow paint and stamps from my stash, as well as cut out stars and cork board & arrow pieces to keep the page fun and playful.

Today is out second reveal at Scrap & Music. I love the sketch my Amarylis Doris, but had a hard time with the lyrics to La Vie en Rose. The sketch looks like this;

Darling Sunday

It´s been one of those days that you wish never would end. We have had so much rain lately, and not that warm eighter, but today - +15 degrees Celcius and sun! The day was spent outside. Living in an old house with a big garden, there is always things that needs your attention. Today we have painted and re plastered almost all the foot of the house. I have dug out two flowerbeds that was having an unequal fight with some grass. Filled them with new fresh dirt and now hopefully they will be better.

Then I started up the Greenhouse for the season. Replanted the tomatoes and some flowers I got from our neighbor  Well, puh, I think that was it.
