18 Christmas Tags from One 12x12 Sheet of Cardstock

 Let's get started early on the Christmas season.. I'm making 18 tags from one 12x12 sheet of cardstock and using my DIY Hole Reinforcers from my last video.  In the video, I show you how I decorated my tags as well, but use any stamps and dies of your choice.  The main idea is to show how I cut my cardstock to get 18 tags from one sheet.  This comes in handy for making your tags in bulk for the season.

DIY Hole Reinforcers for Gift Tags

 

There's no need to buy a special punch for hole reinforcers.  You can do it with punches you may already have.  I really like doing it this way versus just buying the hole reinforcer punch because it allows me to change up the sizes as well as the shapes.  But if you prefer to just buy the one punch, I will have it listed below also, along with the ones I use in my video.  Also, just take a look at the punches you already have.  You'll likely have some that will work great.  I'm a huge advocate of using what you already have to get more uses from them before making an additional purchase.

Craft-a-Flower Daisies

 

If you've been following me for very long at all, you know that I LOVE die cutting and I had a blast with this Craft-a-Flower Daisy die set from Altenew.  I used lots of fun, colorful patterned papers for my Daisies to turn them into Gerbera Daisies.  You could also use solid colored cardstocks, or cut them all from white.  In white you could color them individually with copic markers, watercolor markers, ink blending, or leave them white for beautiful Shasta Daisies.  Another idea would be to use yellow cardstock with brown centers for Sunflowers or Black-Eyed Susans.  There are so many flower variations you could come up with using this die set.  So, raid your paper stash and let’s craft some daisies.

Punch Art Caterpillar

 

I fall in love easily with new Punch Art critters and this little guy has stolen my heart!  He's so easy to put together, using all circles (plus antennas).  Get creative with the antennas.  You could use a butterfly die cut like I did OR you could use a section from some of your leafy, branchy, scrolly, or swirly dies or punches.  Look closely at your dies and punches.  Sometimes even the negative pieces, that would normally get thrown out, will work for tiny little elements like this.  

I decided to alternate his body segments between plain solid cardstock and thin glitter foam.  You could also use patterned paper with a very small print.  You could make him in larger sizes for larger projects too.  Just use one circle (for the head) ever-so-slightly larger than the rest.  Googly eyes also come in many sizes so you can find ones to fit any size caterpillar you decide to make.  If you want to keep it all paper, just cut out white circles for the size of eyes that you want and smaller black circles for the pupils.  Head into the craftroom and let's get Craftie!

Punch Art Blueberries

 

Punch Art Blueberries couldn't be simpler!  I created these using only circles and a star.  It's all about perspective!  Using the right colors and the correct placement really brought these blueberries to life.  Shaping them with the stylus gave them the dimension they needed and finished them off perfectly.  I love how they turned out and I can't wait to use them in my scrapbook-style recipe book.
